Quotations of Ferrexpo shares keep falling for 3rd week in a row, down 4.8% to GBP 0.456 per share August 12-16

In the period of August 12-16, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 4.8% or GBP 0.023 per share to GBP 0.456 per share, falling for the 3rd week in a row.

That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the report, on August 12, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 0.479 per share; on August 13, they decreased to GBP 0.469 per share; and on August 14, they further fell to GBP 0.468 per share.

On August 15, the share quotations increased to GBP 0.474 per share; but on August 16, they decreased to GBP 0.456 per shares.

The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.

Since the start of the year, the company's share quotations have decreased by 49.5% (compared to the level of quotations on December 29, 2023 - GBP 0.903).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of August 5-9, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 1.2% or GBP 0.006 per share to GBP 0.487 per share, falling for the 2nd week in a row.

In the period of December 31, 2022 - December 31, 2023, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange fell by 42.6% or GBP 0.669 per share to GBP 0.903 per share.

In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.

The group's earnings in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.

In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.

Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.

Kostiantyn Zhevaho is the majority shareholder of Ferrexpo.
