15 regions subjected to russia's massive attack; missiles and drones' target was energy infrastructure – Shmyhal

A total of 15 regions were subjected to the August 26 massive russian attack; the energy infrastructure was once again the target of russian terrorists.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"15 regions were affected today as a result of a massive russian attack. The enemy used various types of weapons: UAVs, cruise missiles, and Kinzhal missiles. There are wounded and dead. My sincere condolences to relatives and friends. Russian terrorists have once again targeted the energy infrastructure. Unfortunately, there is damage in Ukrenergo is forced to use emergency power cuts to stabilize the system," he said.

Shmyhal also reported that the heads of regional military administrations were tasked with deploying Points of Invincibility as needed.

The Prime Minister noted that in order to stop the barbaric shelling of Ukrainian cities, it is necessary to destroy the place from which russian missiles are launched; for this, Ukraine needs long-range weapons and the permission of its partners to hit russian objects with them.

"We count on the support of our allies and will definitely make russia pay," he emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, points of Invincibility are deployed in Kyiv due to emergency power outages.

Emergency blackouts have been introduced in Kyiv and a number of regions.
