President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine successfully tested the first ballistic missile of its own production.

He spoke about this at the "Ukraine 2024. Independence" forum, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"By the way, since we went to the question of what is still to be done in Ukraine, well, I thought it was too early to talk about it, but I would like society to evaluate this, specifically our people who work 24/7 at defense enterprises, there was a positive test of the first Ukrainian ballistic missile," he said.

Zelenskyy congratulated the Ukrainian defense and industrial complex on the relevant event.

The president noted that he could not share more details about the domestically produced ballistic missile.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy is against the forced return of Ukrainian men of mobilization age from abroad to Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleh Tatarov and Head of the SSU Vasyl Maliuk killed Chechens in Kyiv at the beginning of the war.

The Ukrainian Pravda publication asked the president to evaluate the activities of the team of the Office of the President and another pro-government team.
