USD 2.3 billion worth of passenger cars imported in H1 – Ukravtoprom

In the first half of 2024, Ukraine imported 167,600 passenger cars (pre-owned and new) worth USD 2.29 billion.

This follows from a statement by the Ukravtoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Import of passenger cars in the first half of 2024 quantitatively increased by a third, and in monetary terms - by 40% year over year.

It is noted that the largest supplier of passenger cars was Germany, from where almost 33,000 cars were imported to Ukraine.

The second place is the United States (27,600 imported cars), the third place in the ranking is occupied by Japan (18,100 cars), the fourth position is China (17,700 cars), the fifth place is South Korea (8,700 cars), sixth - France (8,300 cars), seventh - Slovakia (7,800 cars), eighth - Mexico (7,800 cars), ninth - Great Britain ( 7,000 cars), and the Czechia is the tenth (6,800 cars).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in July 2024, the sale of new cars increased by 20% year over year to 6,400.
