Where Belarus concentrates military units and equipment. Explanation of Border Service

State Border Guard Service, Belarus, Belarussian military, border with Belarus

Belarus is concentrating its forces tens of kilometers from the border with Ukraine, and the border guards are currently not recording the movement of equipment or personnel of the Belarusian army near the border with Ukraine. The situation along its entire line is under control and there are no provocations on the part of Belarus.

Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service, told about this on the air of the United News telethon.

"We control the entire length of our border, and at this time, no non-standard or provocative actions on the part of the neighboring territory were recorded along the border," Demchenko said.

Answering a clarifying question about where Belarus can concentrate its forces, Demchenko replied that it is "tens of kilometers" to the border with Ukraine.

"The situation there is constantly being monitored. Ukraine is in a state of war, is defending itself, and therefore is strengthening the border to prevent a repeat invasion," assured the press officer of the State Border Guard Service. However, Demchenko noted that Belarus constantly conducts training and deploys its forces. According to him, this is due to the fact that the Belarusian authorities "play along" with the russian federation and do everything possible to keep Ukraine's army in this direction. At the same time, the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service does not rule out that Belarus, under the guise of training or under pressure from the russian federation, concentrates a certain number of its units deep within its territory.

It will be recalled that on August 23, the monitoring group Belarusian Hajun announced that since August 10, the Armed Forces of Belarus transferred about a thousand personnel to the Gomel Oblast, which borders Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Belarus to withdraw the troops actively moving to the border.

Meanwhile, analysts at the American Robert Lansing Institute (RLI) believe that the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, is preparing for transfer of power. One of the reasons for this is strong pressure from the aggressor country of russia.
