On the night of Saturday, August 31, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 52 Shahed-type attack drones, the air defense forces managed to destroy 24 enemy drones, and another 25 UAVs fell on their own.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that at night the enemy struck with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Voronezh Oblast (russia), four S-300 missiles from the occupied Donetsk Region, and 52 Shahed UAVs from the Kursk Oblast (russia).

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Sumy Regions.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 24 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were shot down, 25 were lost in location (fell on their own). Two drones flew in the direction of Russia, one more - to the Republic of Belarus," the message says.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 30, the russians attacked the territory of Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 18 Shahed-type attack drones, the Ukrainian military destroyed 12 drones, and four fell on their own.
