Romania's Parliament receives bill on gifting Patriot SAM system to Ukraine

The Ministry of National Defense of Romania has sent to the Parliament of the country a bill on the transfer to Ukraine of an American air defense complex.

Radio Svoboda reports this with reference to the text of the bill.

The bill provides for the transfer of a MIM-104 Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine.

"The final revision of the gift law will emphasize the position of Romania as a regional security supplier and strengthen partnerships with the United States," the bill reads.

According to the document, Romania wants to transfer a Patriot PAC-3 configuration 3+ to Ukraine.

It is noted that four of them have already been taken to Romania. Three more complexes should be transferred to the country in the near future.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in July this year, Ukraine received a Patriot SAM system from Germany.

Recall that after Ukraine received Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, no russian Kinzhal missile was able to reach Kyiv.
