Rada dismisses Stefanishyna

The Verkhovna Rada dismissed the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna.

A total of 241 MPs voted for the project of resolution No. 12008 with the minimum required of 226.

MP from the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

A number of mass media, citing sources, report that Stefanishyna will be appointed as Minister of Justice.

Stefanishyna has held the position of Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration since June 2020.

Stefanishyna was born in 1985. From the end of 2019 until the appointment of the Vice Prime Minister, she worked as an adviser to a law firm on dispute resolution and international trade law until her appointment. In 2017-2019, she held the position of Director of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

In 2008, she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv having received qualifications as an international lawyer and an English translator. In 2016, she graduated from the Odesa National University of Economics, majoring in finance and credit.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada refused to dismiss Iryna Vereshchuk, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
