Zelenskyy arrives at Ramstein air base in Germany, then he will go to Italy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the Ramstein airbase in Germany to participate in a meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Working with partners for the strength of Ukraine. I arrived at the Ramstein air base to participate in the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine. We need the determination of our partners and the means to stop russian air terror. We need all the weapons from the already announced support packages to finally got into combat brigades. And strong long-range decisions by partners are needed to bring the just peace we seek closer," he said.

Zelenskyy noted that he will take part in the meeting of the group and meet with the US and German defense ministers Lloyd Austin and Boris Pistorius, and separately he will hold talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Zelenskyy also announced that after Germany he will go to Italy.

"After that - Italy. International Economic Forum "Ambrosetti", meetings with representatives of Italian business. Negotiations with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni," he said.

Zelenskyy noted that he seeks to coordinate positions with all G7 allies.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, known as the Ramstein format, unites defense ministers and heads of defense agencies from more than 50 countries of the world, they coordinate steps to provide Ukraine with the means necessary to protect the territory.

In June, Argentina joined the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine.
