Explosion of unknown origin occurred on territory of motor transport enterprise in Kyiv, 2 killed reported

Today, September 8, an explosion of currently unknown origin occurred at a motor transport enterprise in the Holosiyivskyi district of Kyiv. As a result of the incident, 2 people were killed, there may be people under the rubble of the building. Search and rescue operations are underway.

This was announced by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhii Popko.

"An explosion of unknown origin occurred on the territory of the motor transport enterprise in the Holosiyivskyi district. As a result, a two-story building 40 x 100 meters was partially destroyed. There was no fire," the report says.

Previously, two killed people were found on the spot. In addition, there may be people under the rubble.

Currently, search and rescue operations are ongoing. All operative services work on site.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) clarified that at 10:12 a.m. rescuers received a report about an explosion on Vasylkivska Street on the territory of the motor transport enterprise.

It is reported that a two-story building was partially destroyed. There are probably people under the rubble - this information is being clarified.

31 rescuers and 8 units of equipment are working on the spot.
