Canada’s Prime Minister says Ukraine should be allowed to strike deep into russia, despite kremlin's threats

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Ukraine should be allowed to strike deep into russia, despite threats from the kremlin that it would draw Canada and its allies into direct war.

This is reported by The Canadian Press.

Thus, Trudeau said that Canada "fully supports Ukraine in using long-range weaponry" to prevent russian attacks on hospitals and kindergartens across the country.

He also added that Ukraine must win the fight against the russian invasion, otherwise it will encourage other big countries to try to absorb their neighbors.

"(Putin) is trying to deeply destabilize the international rules-based order that protects us all, not just in every democracy around the world, but in all countries around the world," Trudeau stressed.

The publication recalled that russian leader vladimir putin threatened that the NATO military alliance would involve itself in the war if it allowed Ukraine to use weapons provided free of charge to attack russia.

"Canada fully supports Ukraine using long-range weaponry to prevent and interdict Russia's continued ability to degrade Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, and mostly to kill innocent civilians in their unjust war," Trudeau told reporters at a press conference in Quebec on September 13.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the United States urged not to wait for the meeting between the U.S. President Joe Biden and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer to declare permission to attack the russian federation.

Meanwhile, Finland and Sweden did not introduce any specific restrictions on the use of weapons supplied to Ukraine. Finland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen and Sweden's Maria Malmer Stenergard only emphasized that weapons should be used in accordance with international law.
