A great flood is raging in Europe, which is already being called the biggest in the last 30 years. In Romania and Poland, there are already the first deaths.

This is reported by Euronews and RMF 24.

The flood was caused by heavy rains, which caused the rivers to overflow their banks. In Romania, some settlements were blocked. At least four people were also killed in the east of the country. In Galatsi County, more than 5,000 houses in this county were completely or partially damaged, and more than 300 people were evacuated. In the Vaslui County, 40 people were evacuated from five settlements.

In Poland, it is known about one person killed by a flood in Kłodzko County. About 1,600 people have already been evacuated from this region. Also, 17,000 consumers were left without electricity in the country due to bad weather.

No victims in the Czech Republic. However, the water in the rivers reached a critical level and flooded roads in some cities. Heavy rain and strong winds left more than 63,000 households without electricity.

Flooding is also recorded in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrzaliznytsia warned about the cancellation of a number of flights in Poland and the Czech Republic.
