Court releases Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration ex-head Reznichenko on bail of UAH 30 million

High Anti-Corruption Court, Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Valentyn Reznichenko

The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has released the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko on bail of UAH 30 million.

It was reported in the court, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The court also obliged Reznichenko not to leave the Dnipropetrovsk Region without the appropriate permission, to hand in his foreign passports, to wear an electronic bracelet, etc.

The NACB detective and the SACPO prosecutor asked to arrest Reznichenko with an alternative bail of UAH 41 million.

However, the court partially satisfied the petition of the anti-corruption authorities.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the NACB and the SACPO handed a notice of suspicion to the former head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko and four other persons.

In 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau searched the office of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko. The investigative actions were carried out as part of the criminal proceedings of the NACB and the SACPO regarding abuses during the "big construction" in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, on which the company of Reznichenko's friend mastered more than one and a half billion hryvnias for 2022.

At the beginning of 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Reznichenko from his post.
