Russian army attacks energy facilities in Sumy with Shaheds

On the night of Wednesday, September 18, the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation attacked the energy facilities of the city of Sumy with Shaheds, the liquidation of the consequences of the attack is ongoing.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration in Telegram.

According to preliminary data, no one was injured.

"The consequences of the enemy attack are being eliminated. We thank our power engineers for their prompt and coordinated work. As a result of the enemy attacks, the region's energy system is operating in a tense mode," the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported.

Consumers are asked to reduce their electricity consumption, especially during peak hours.

The Regional Military Administration also added that the Air Defense Forces of the Sumy Region shot down 16 enemy Shaheds over the region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the sounds of explosions were heard in Kyiv at night. Anti-aircraft defense worked on the approaches to the city.

In the first half of September, the russian occupiers launched 640 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, most of which were shot down by the air defense forces.
