Department of State reports what support from US would help Ukraine win the war

Department of State, Russia's war against Ukraine, Matthew Miller, western aid to Ukraine

According to Washington, there is no single weapon in russia's war against Ukraine that could be decisive for Kyiv's victory. Instead, success depends on a set of measures that the US continues to work on.

This was announced by US Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller during a briefing in Washington.

Responding to journalists' questions about the possible lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range missiles from the US, Miller confirmed that this issue will be discussed with British partners during the UN General Assembly next week.

He also noted that there is no single capability that by itself could significantly affect the outcome of the conflict.

"There are a number of different capabilities that can come together to help Ukraine win this war, and that's what we continue to give them," Miller said.

He added that the United States continues to assess whether there are "additional capabilities, additional tactics, additional methods that we should provide them (Ukrainians, - ed.)."

"And when we assess that it is in their interests and the interests of the United States, we will do it," the spokesperson of the Department of State emphasized.

And when asked how Washington expects Ukraine to win a large-scale war with the russian federation, Miller spoke about a set of measures in the context of US aid.

"We expect them to win by continuing to provide them with the billions of dollars in security assistance that we've provided them since the beginning of this conflict. The kind of security assistance that, along with the brave Ukrainian way of fighting, has seen them recapture most of the territory, which they lost in Ukraine in the first days of the war," the American official said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 16, President Zelenskyy said that the readiness of the Ukrainian plan to win the war is more than 90%.

Zelenskyy also stated that he intends to meet with US President Biden by the end of the month and show him the Ukrainian victory plan.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said that the victory plan will also be shown to US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
