Air defense forces shoot down 42 enemy Shaheds and 1 guided air missile at night

On the night of Thursday, September 19, russian troops launched 42 Shahed attack drones, three S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles and one Kh-59/69 guided air missile over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces shot down all 42 drones and the Kh-59/69 missile.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that last night the Air Forces’ radio engineering troops detected and escorted 46 enemy air attack vehicles.

The occupiers hit the Kharkiv Region with three S-300/S-400 missiles from the Belgorod Oblast, one Kh-59/69 missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Region, and also launched 42 Shaheds from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk districts (both - russian federation).

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, all 42 attack UAVs were shot down. Also, a Kh-59/69 guided air missile was shot down in the eastern direction," the message says.

The air attack of the enemy was repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and units of the electronic warfare of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of September 18, the russians launched three Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 52 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine.

Air defense forces managed to shoot down 46 drones, five drones were lost in location, and one returned to russia.
