The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the countries of the European Union to allow Ukraine to use weapons transferred to it to strike deep into russian territory.

The corresponding vote took place today, September 19.

The resolution states that without lifting the current restrictions, Ukraine cannot fully exercise its right to self-defense.

The European Parliament also emphasized that the insufficient amount of military aid to Ukraine can nullify the effect of the efforts made by the European Union as of today.

The MEPs called on the EU countries to fulfill the commitments made in March 2023. Recall that at that time the EU promised to supply Ukraine with one million artillery ammunition.

More than 600 members of the European Parliament took part in the vote. 425 MEPs voted "for", "against" — 131 people. Another 63 MEPs abstained from voting for the resolution.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 17, the American channel CNN wrote that the U.S. is allegedly running out of weapons to help Ukraine.

And a day before, on September 16, the German publication Bild reported with reference to its own sources that Qatar will transfer half of its Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled guns to Ukraine.
