6,500 volunteers recruited monthly - Defense Ministry

On average, 6,500 volunteers are recruited in Ukraine every month.

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The indicators of recruitment into the Defense Forces are increasing from month to month. On average, 6,500 volunteers are recruited monthly across the country. It is people who are the basis of the Defense Forces, and the Center provides an opportunity to join their ranks. Our recruiters are ready to provide advice and help everyone find their place in the army," Oleksii Bezhevets, the authorized representative of the Ministry of Defense on recruiting issues, said.

It is noted that the Recruiting Center of the Ukrainian Army opened in Cherkasy, which became the 38th center in Ukraine and the second in the region.

You can be recruited to all Defense Forces, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service.

It is noted that to date, more than 17,000 citizens throughout Ukraine have applied to the network of centers created by the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with regional state authorities and local self-governments, all of whom have received professional advice from civilian recruiters who have undergone special training.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, the Ministry of Defense reported that 20% of all appeals to recruiting centers come from women.

In July, the Ministry of Defense announced that it was starting the selection and recruitment of UAV operators.

In December 2023, the Ministry of Defense declared the first results of recruitment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine successful.
