Quotations of Ferrexpo shares fall after 1-week increase, down 2.0% to GBP 0.400 per share September 16-20

In the period of September 16-20, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 2.0% or GBP 0.008 per share to GBP 0.400 per share after a one-week rise.

That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, on September 16, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 0.408 per share; on September 17, they increased to GBP 0.415 per share; but on September 18, they fell to GBP 0.404 per share.

On September 19, the share quotations increased to GBP 0.417 per share; but on September 20 - to GBP 0.400 per share.

The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.

Since the start of the year, the company's share quotations have decreased by 55.7% (compared to the level of quotations on December 29, 2023 - GBP 0.903).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of September 9-13, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange increased by 2.8% or GBP 0.011 per share to GBP 0.402 per share after 6-week falling.

In the period of December 31, 2022 - December 31, 2023, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange fell by 42.6% or GBP 0.669 per share to GBP 0.903 per share.

In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.

The group's earnings in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.

In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.

Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.

Kostiantyn Zhevaho is the majority shareholder of Ferrexpo.
