We have tripled mobilization indicators, next step is reform of territorial recruitment and social support centers - Umierov

Over the past year, mobilization indicators have tripled in Ukraine, the next step is the reform of territorial recruitment and social support centers.

The Minister of Defense Rustem Umierov announced this in a column for Forbes Ukraine, talking about the key achievements during the first year of his work as a minister, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"We have tripled the mobilization rates. And fivefold expanded the opportunities for training the Ukrainian military. The next step is the reform of territorial recruitment and social support centers. We are also working on this," he wrote.

Umierov noted that the Ministry of Defense has digitalized the army, launched applications for the military Army+, Reserve+, and the launch of Veteran+ is expected.

In Reserve+ almost 3.5 million Ukrainians received an electronic military registration document, in Army+ - 230,000 soldiers already use electronic services, from submitting reports to digitizing health data, about 20% of them are officers, 15 % - sergeant's staff.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 6, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada appointed the former head of the State Property Fund, Rustem Umierov, to the position of Minister of Defense.
