More than USD 4 billion has been collected by the G7 countries and other partners of Ukraine to restore its energy infrastructure.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this at the meeting of the Great Seven in New York, his words are quoted by Ukrinform.

According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the G7 countries and their partners have been working on mobilizing resources for Ukraine. During this time, it was possible to accumulate more than USD 4 billion.

"We together <...> worked on mobilizing resources for Ukraine, for its people, to provide them with the energy they need, and for the country to be able to supply electricity to people," said Blinken.

He emphasized that the process of mobilizing funds is ongoing to provide Ukraine with the opportunity to survive the coming winter.

Recall that the day before, the UN published a report compiled with the involvement of experts, which states that in winter, blackouts can last from 4 to 18 hours during the day.

Earlier in August, the Ukrenergo company announced that the coming winter will be difficult for Ukrainians, but we should not wait for an apocalyptic scenario.
