Defense Ministry Announces Separation Of Militaries From Conscription Service

The Ministry of Defense has announced separation of militaries from active duty under conscription service.

Press service of the Ministry of Defense has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Minister of defense signed an order No.484 dated September 19 on return of conscripts from active military duty to a military reserve, within the established period of time (in October - December 2017)," the statement read.

The document was signed based on the Presidential Decree dated February 24, 2017 On Separation of Militaries from Active Duty, Terms of Announcement of New Conscription into Military Service Among Citizens of Ukraine in 2017.

According to the order, militaries serving under conscription terms, with higher education, with at least specialist's or master's degree will be called back from the service in October - November, and the rest militaries serving under conscription terms - in October - December.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 20, the Cabinet of Ministers called into service 10,460 to be drafted in October - November 2017.
