British Intelligence Announces Strong Enemy Pressure On Ukrainian Defense Of Bakhmut

The Ukrainian defense of the town of Bakhmut in Donbas is under increasing pressure, intense fighting is taking place in the town and its surroundings. This is stated in the daily summary of the British intelligence, the text of which is posted on the official page of the agency on Twitter.

"The regular Russian army and forces of the Wagner Group have advanced further into the northern suburbs of the town, which are now a line held by Ukraine, vulnerable to Russian attacks from three sides," the report said.

Ukraine is said to be reinforcing the area with elite units, and two key bridges in Bakhmut have been destroyed in the past 36 hours, including a vital bridge connecting the town to the last major supply route from Bakhmut to the town of Chasiv Yar.

"The supply routes from the town under the control of the Ukrainian authorities are becoming more and more limited," the report states.
