In his speech at the Republican convention, U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump mentioned the war in Ukraine and said that he could allegedly end "any war with a phone call."

This was reported by Voice of America, which broadcast the event.

"I will end every international crisis created by the current administration, including the horrific war with russia and Ukraine, which would never have happened if I were president," Trump said.

He also mentioned the war in the Middle East, as well as the potential danger of conflict in Taiwan, Korea, and the Philippines, after which he warned that World War III would be terrible because of the weapons now available to mankind.

Trump recalled that under other U.S. presidents, russia invaded Georgia and seized Crimea and now wants to "seize all of Ukraine."

"Russia has not taken anything under President Trump," he said and promised that he could "stop any war with a phone call."

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is confident that Donald Trump, if elected as the new President of the United States, will be decisive in supporting Ukraine.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he is not afraid of a possible U.S. presidency of Donald Trump.

Zelenskyy also said that Trump should come up with a plan to quickly end the war with the aggressor state, russia, and that any proposal should not violate the nation's sovereignty.
