The use of new drones by the russians speaks of the cheapening of production technologies and difficulties for the russian military-industrial complex due to sanctions and restrictions.

This was announced by the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The use of new drones by the russians in raids on our country speaks of several things. First, the artisanal assembly testifies to the cheapening of production technologies in this war, but also to the difficulty for the russian military-industrial complex to reach the mass assembly of other models due to sanctions and restrictions. Russia is dependent from countries that help to circumvent sanctions and obtain components for the production of weapons. If to "tighten the screws" more and to knock out russian military-industrial complexes, the regime will not be able to continue the intense terror," he said.

Yermak also emphasizes that the technologies of war are constantly developing, this also leads to the obsolescence of certain types of weapons, which become less effective against new types of weapons and principles of warfare.

"Accordingly, the democratic world has no right to lose the technological race to autocracies. And here it is important to work not only through restrictions, but also by developing our own weapons, in particular, by increasing the pace of weapons production, given that autocracies are betting on mass," he noted.

Yermak emphasized that Ukraine is interested in the production of weapons in order to defend itself and the principles of democracy.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Kovalenko, in turn, noted on the Telegram channel about the new Gerbera drones, which the russians began to use together with the Shaheds. He said that "plywood, explosives, and a satellite signal reception module Kometa are present there, that is a cheaper alternative to Shahed from the russians.” Kovalenko emphasized that there will be more and more different types of drones, including in Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, overnight into July 31, the russians attacked Ukraine with an Kh-59 guided air missile and 89 Shahed-type attack UAVs, the main direction of the attack was the Kyiv Region.

In July, the russians showed off a new Gerbera drone, which has a foam fuselage.
