Satellite images show the destruction at the Kursk Oblast-based Sudzha gas-measuring unit.

Radio Svoboda writes about it, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As it follows from the analysis of the photos, part of the damage appeared on them between August 9 and 10, and part - between August 10 and 11.

At the same time, the photo from August 11 shows that one of the administrative buildings of the station, as well as one of the sites where the measuring equipment is installed, was almost completely destroyed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, requests from the russian federation for gas transit to the EU through Ukraine are increasing after falling against the background of the establishment of control by the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the Sudzha gas-measuring unit.

On August 7, russian mass media reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine control the Sudzha gas-measuring unit in Kursk, through which russian gas transits to the EU.

Currently, "Sudzha" is the only point through which russian gas enters Ukraine for its transportation to European customers.

In January-July 2024, compared to the same period last year, russia increased the supply of gas for transit through the Ukrainian gas transport system to the European Union and Moldova by 10.5% to 8.072 billion cubic meters.
