Russian conscripts are preparing to be transferred near Kursk to participate in battles, parents sound the alarm - media

Russia, Russian military, Russia's war against Ukraine, Kursk oblast, Murmansk oblast

The aggressor country of russia allegedly want to transfer russian conscript soldiers from the Murmansk Oblast to the Kursk Oblast, where they are to take part in hostilities.

This was reported by the online publication Agentstvo with reference to the parents of russian conscripts.

As Agentstvo writes, the parents of conscripts from the 80th motorized rifle division, who only recently had time to take the oath, are sounding the alarm on social networks.

Parents of conscripts are mass publishing posts in which they call on the command not to send their sons to the Kursk Oblast, where the russian army is trying to restrain the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Now the military unit is preparing conscripts for a business trip to the Kursk Oblast. Kursk battalions have been created. This information was confirmed to us by the command at the oath of office on August 3," reads one such post.

Parents of conscripts complain that their children are going to be sent to war, contrary to the statement of dictator vladimir putin, who promised a year ago that conscripts would allegedly not take part in hostilities.

The issue of the participation of conscript soldiers in hostilities is acute for russian society. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the russian authorities declared that only professional soldiers were allegedly participating in the war.

At the same time, from the fall of 2022, conscripts began to be actively involved in the protection of the state border.

According to russian media, at least 159 conscript soldiers were killed during hostilities since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 13, it became known that russian conscripts, who were evacuated from the Kursk Oblast border after the start of the offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are being forced to sign a contract and go to the front line to fight.

We will remind, on August 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, that the Ukrainian military controls 74 settlements in the Kursk Oblast.

The day before, on August 12, the russian authorities acknowledged the loss of 28 villages and towns in the Kursk Oblast as a result of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
