USA announces new reason for banning ATACMS strikes on Kursk Oblast

USA, war in Ukraine, Kursk oblast, ATACMS missiles, ATACMS

The US is still against the use of American long-range weapons during the military operation in the Kursk Oblast, but not because of a possible escalation, but because of the desire to use these missiles for strikes on the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by CNN with reference to officials of the US administration.

It is noted that the USA does not have large stocks of ATACMS missiles for delivery to Ukraine, so Washington believes that the available missiles will be better used in Crimea.

In addition, some in the White House are worried because Ukraine has sent its best fighters to the Kursk Oblast.

"From a military point of view, this is impressive. But Ukraine attracts quite experienced troops to it (Kursk Oblast, - ed.) and cannot afford to lose these troops... Distracting them from the front line gives russia the opportunity to take advantage and break through," the publication quotes an unnamed American official.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, about 2,000 soldiers of the russian occupation army surrendered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of russia.

Analysts of the DeepState project reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine took control of the village of Vnezapnoe in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.

Meanwhile, the Airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a unique video, which recorded the first hours of the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation on August 6, 2024.
