Despite the partial withdrawal of troops from the Kharkiv axis to the Kursk Oblast, the russians still have quite significant forces and firepower to inflict damage and continue assaults.

The spokesman of the Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Group of Troops, Vitalii Sarantsev, has stated this, Suspilne reports.

"The Russian Federation continues to shuffle the "deck of cards" they have. But at the same time, the forces and means that remain on the Kharkiv axis are still quite large, so that we can relax. The Russians still have quite significant forces, firearms to cause damage and continue assaults," he said.

The activity of russian troops has decreased in some areas of the front in the north of the Kharkiv Region, but this does not mean that they have been withdrawn, the spokesman noted.

According to him, the russian military digs trenches, disguises itself and establishes communication.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 22, Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC, said that part of the russian troops in the Kursk Oblast practically got into a cauldron.

Besides, on August 22, the commander of the Lithuanian Army, Raimundas Vaikšnoras, said that thanks to the successful offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast, a noticeable reduction in russian ground forces has been observed in Kaliningrad.

Meanwhile, the Air Force showed a video of the destruction of russian bridges in the Kursk Oblast.
