195 combat clashes take place on the front, 1/3 on Pokrovsk Axis – General Staff

On August 28, a total of 195 combat clashes took place at the front; the hottest situation was on the Pokrovsk (66 clashes), as well as Kurakhove (30), and Kupiyansk (23) Axis.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched three missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using five missiles, as well as 79 airstrikes, in particular, dropping 96 anti-aircraft missiles.

In addition, the enemy launched more than 4,000 attacks, 139 of them using MLRSes, and used 1,314 kamikaze drones for attacks.

On August 28, 195 combat clashes with the russian invaders were recorded.

On the Kharkiv Axis, two combat clashes took place in the areas of the settlements of Lyptsi and Vovchansk.

On the Kupiyansk Axis, the Defense Forces repelled 23 attacks in the areas of Stelmakhivka, Kruhliakivka, Synkivka, and Kolisnykivka.

On the Lyman Axis, 14 enemy attacks took place in the areas of Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Novosadove, Makiyivka, Nevske, and Novoyehorivka.

On the Siversk Axis, the Defense Forces repulsed five attacks near Bilohorivka, Spirne, and Verkhniokamiyanske.

On the Kramatorsk Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 11 attempts by the enemy to break through the defenses in the districts of Hryhorivka, Ivankivske, Bila Hora, Klishchiyivka, and Andriyivka in the Donetsk Region.

On the Toretsk Axis, the enemy tried to advance 21 times in the areas of the settlements of Sieverne, Druzhba, Toretsk, Niu York, and, most actively, near Nelipivka; hit Toretsk seven times with 13 guided aerial bombs.

On the Pokrovsk Axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 66 attacks, more than half of them - in the districts of Hrodivka and Novohrodivka.

On the Kurakhove Axis, the Defense Forces repelled 30 enemy attacks in the areas of Ukrainka, Karlivka, Heorhiyivka, Halytsynivka, and Kostiantynivka settlements.

On the Vremivka Axis, the enemy made six attempts to attack in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk Region and from Mykilske.

On the Orikhiv Axis, two assaults were repulsed in the areas of Robotyne and Novodanylivka.

On the border with the Chernihiv Region, the enemy maintains a military presence and carries out reconnaissance activities.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces have carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and anti-aircraft defenses of the enemy, one on an anti-aircraft missile in a firing position, one on an anti-aircraft vehicle, one on a pontoon crossing of the russian invaders and two more on other important facilities of the enemy.

On August 28, the losses of the russian invaders amounted to 1,200 people.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 27, a total of 184 combat clashes took place at the front; the hottest situation was in the Pokrovsk (55 clashes), as well as Kupiyansk (25), Toretsk (23), and Kurakhove (22) Axes.
