International Criminal Court, Mongolia, arrest warrant, arrest warrant for Putin, International Criminal Court in The Hague

Ukraine has called on Mongolia to hand over the leader of aggressor state of russia, vladimir putin, who has planned a visit there, to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

This is indicated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"In connection with the information about the planned visit of Vladimir Putin to Mongolia at the invitation of the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, we declare the following. The Ukrainian side hopes that the Government of Mongolia is aware of the fact that Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. A warrant was issued for his arrest on suspicion of illegal forced transfer of Ukrainian children to the russian federation by the International Criminal Court, the jurisdiction of which is recognized by Mongolia," the statement said.

It is noted that the kidnapping of Ukrainian children is just one of the many crimes for which putin and the rest of the military-political leadership of the russian federation must be brought to justice, these persons are guilty of an aggressive war against Ukraine, atrocities against the Ukrainian people, murders, rapes, robberies, shelling of civilian infrastructure and genocide.

"We call on the Mongolian authorities to execute the mandatory international arrest warrant and transfer Putin to the International Criminal Court in The Hague," the statement said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian dictator vladimir putin plans to pay an official visit on September 3 to Mongolia, which is a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and is bound to arrest him.

Bloomberg, citing sources, notes that the government of Mongolia has assured russia that it will not arrest dictator vladimir putin during his visit to the country, despite the fact that Mongolia recognizes the jurisdiction of the ICC.
