Air defense forces shoot down 58 enemy Shaheds at night

On the night of Saturday, September 7, russian troops launched 67 Shahed attack UAVs over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 58 enemy drones.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"On the night of September 7, 2024, the enemy attacked with attack UAVs of the Shahed type (launch areas - Kursk, Yeysk - russia, Chauda - TOT Crimea. In general, the radio engineering troops of the Air Forces detected and escorted 67 Shaheds)," the message says.

According to the Air Defense Forces, 58 attack UAVs were shot down as a result of the anti-aircraft battle.

6 drones left the controlled airspace of Ukraine, flying in the direction of russia, Belarus and the temporarily occupied Luhansk Region; three more enemy UAVs were lost in location on the territory of Ukraine (probably fell under the influence of EW means).

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Vinnytsia, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kherson and Poltava Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Friday, September 6, russian troops launched a Kh-59 guided air missile and a Kh-31P anti-radar missile and 44 Shahed type UAVs on the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 27 enemy drones.
