Ukraine is currently the country most equipped with generators in the world.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a press conference, RBC-Ukraine writes.

"Ukraine today, I'm just sure of it, is the country most equipped with generators in the world. That's why I'm convinced that we'll get through this winter, and we'll get through it steadily and confidently," he said.

Shmyhal noted that there are several credit programs for the purchase of energy equipment for the population and businesses operating in Ukraine.

According to him, 100% of Ukrainian hospitals are equipped with generators. There are a total of 12,000 generators in medical facilities.

"A total of 16,000 powerful generators are installed, connected, and working," he said.

In addition, the need for generators remains, but not in tens of thousands, as was the case last year, but about 1,800 high-power generators.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 6, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that in the absence of critical strikes on the power system, there will be no blackouts in the winter.

Currently, electricity consumption is decreasing due to the decrease in heat in most regions of Ukraine.
