Sweden will allocate EUR 40 million to Ukraine for purchase of energy equipment

Sweden will allocate more than EUR 40 million to Ukraine for the purchase of energy equipment.

This was announced by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"We are working on increasing the capacities of distributed generation and backup power for critical infrastructure facilities. We highly appreciate the decision of the Swedish government to allocate more than EUR 40 million for the purchase of equipment that will improve the situation with energy supply in regions subject to constant enemy shelling," Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko noted.

According to the report, Halushchenko discussed with Swedish Ambassador Martin Öberg the process of purchasing energy equipment, its delivery to Ukraine and preparation for installation in order to speed up these processes as much as possible.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, donor contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund reached more than EUR 560 million.
