Air defense forces destroyed 44 Shaheds during russian air attack on Ukraine

Overnight into September 12, radio engineering troops of the Air Force detected and escorted 69 enemy air attack vehicles (as of 9:00 a.m.).

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, the occupiers hit the Chernihiv Region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk Oblast and one Kh-59/69 guided air missile from the Bryansk Oblast, two Kh-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft (from the airspace over the water area of the Black Sea in the direction of the Zmiyinyi Island), by 64 Shahed-type strike UAVs (launch areas: Kursk, Yeysk - russia, Chauda - Crimea).

The air attack of the enemy was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and units of the EW of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 44 attack UAVs were shot down. Three enemy drones flew back to russia, four more were lost in location on the territory of Ukraine (information about casualties and destruction was not received).

As of 9:00 a.m., four attack UAVs remained in the airspace of Ukraine. Combat work continues.

Due to the active countermeasures of the Defense Forces, most of the enemy missiles did not reach the desired targets.

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Kyiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava Regions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Thursday, September 12, the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation massively attacked Konotop. Many wounded, the city without electricity and water.
