Pentagon reacts to russian counteroffensive in Kursk Oblast

The United States has confirmed reports of attempts by russian troops to carry out counterattacks in the Kursk Oblast, but characterized them as minor in scale.

Pentagon spokesman General Patrick Ryder stated this during a briefing on Thursday, September 12.

"We see that at the current stage, Russian units are starting, trying to carry out certain counteroffensive actions in the Kursk Oblast," he said.

However, according to Ryder, these actions are minor.

He added that the Pentagon is monitoring the development of events.
