Shooting near Trump in Florida. Biden reacts to possible attempt

US President Joe Biden said that he was "relieved" to hear that ex-President Donald Trump was not injured in the possible assassination attempt on him, and also instructed to provide the Secret Service with all the necessary resources to protect the former President.

This is reported by CNN with reference to Joe Biden's statement.

"My team has informed me that today there is a federal law enforcement investigation into a possible assassination attempt against former President Trump. The suspect is in custody and I commend the work of the Secret Service and their law enforcement partners for their vigilance and efforts to ensure safety of the former President and his entourage. I am relieved that the former President was not injured," Biden wrote.

In addition, the US President condemned political violence or "any violence" and said that he instructed his team to provide the Secret Service with all necessary resources to protect the former President.

"As I have said many times, there is no place in our country for political violence or any violence, and I have instructed my team to continue to ensure that the Secret Service has all the resources, capabilities and safeguards necessary to ensure the continued safety of the former President," he added.

It will be recalled that shots rang out near US presidential candidate Donald Trump when he was leaving his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
