US wants to see from Zelenskyy detailed plan of strikes against russia before lifting restrictions

The USA is waiting for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to provide a detailed strategy for striking deep into russian territory before agreeing to lift restrictions on the use of Western weapons for these purposes.

This was reported by the Bloomberg agency with reference to a number of officials familiar with the matter.

Interlocutors of the agency said that during the visit to Kyiv, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Minister David Lammy intended to put pressure on Zelenskyy.

According to the agency, Blinken and Lammy wanted Zelenskyy to present them with a detailed plan of what targets the Armed Forces of Ukraine intend to strike in the event of the lifting of restrictions on strikes against the russian federation.

In this way, Washington and London want to better understand what goals Kyiv intends to achieve by striking deep into the territory of the russian federation.

As Bloomberg writes, Ukraine should not expect the United States and Great Britain to change their policy on this issue this week.

However, the agency added, a meeting between US President Joseph Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled in Washington. They will discuss the issue of lifting restrictions on strikes on the russian federation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 5, Washington cited another reason why the United States does not allow Ukraine to strike the territory of the russian federation with American weapons.
