USA, Donald Trump, presidential candidate, CNN, assassination attempt on Trump, Ryan Wesley Routh

In the USA, law enforcement officers detained 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, who allegedly wanted to assassinate presidential candidate Donald Trump on Sunday, September 15. Previously, the man had already had problems with the law.

This is reported by the CNN channel.

So, according to journalists, Ryan Wesley Routh is a 58-year-old owner of a small construction company in Hawaii. He actively commented on current events on social networks and often criticized Trump.

In 2002, Routh was arrested for putting his hand on a firearm when stopped by the police and barricading himself in an office.

In addition, from open sources it is known about several court cases against Routh, starting from the 90s.

Also, state and federal authorities repeatedly accused the man of late payment of taxes. In particular, in 2008, about USD 32,000 were seized from his accounts.

In general, the judges ordered him to pay tens of thousands of dollars to plaintiffs in various administrative cases.

At the same time, the son of the suspect in the attempt on Trump described his father as a caring and hardworking person.

Journalists also noted that in his posts on social networks in 2022, Routh strongly condemned the aggressor country of russia, which launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.

Also last year, Routh called on foreigners to participate in the war. However, starting in October 2023, he called on Afghan soldiers for military service through social networks, pretending to be an unofficial representative of the Ukrainian government.

"Afghan soldiers... Ukraine is somewhat interested in 3,000 soldiers, so I need every soldier, who has a passport, to send me a copy of their passport to be sent to Ukraine," he wrote in one of the posts.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Sunday, September 15, gunshots rang out near US presidential candidate Donald Trump as he was leaving his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

According to U.S. media law enforcement sources, the Secret Service spotted a suspicious person at Trump's West Palm Beach golf course and opened fire when agents saw what appeared to be a gun barrel. Trump was taken to safety after agents opened fire on the man.

Also, in mid-July, Trump was shot during a rally in Pennsylvania.
