Naftogaz ups gas production 7% to 9.8 billion cubic meters in 8M

In January-August 2024, compared to the same period last year, the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies, which are part of the Naftogaz Group, increased production of commercial gas by 7% to 9.8 billion cubic meters.

This is stated in the message of the group, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"We are not giving up on our goal - to switch to the use of exclusively domestically produced gas for the needs of Ukrainians. Specialists of UkrGasVydobuvannya put 52 wells into operation. Of them, 17 are high-flow, yielding more than 100,000 cubic meters of gas," said the head of the Naftogaz Group, Oleksii Chernyshov.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Naftogaz plans to produce 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies.

In 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and Ukrnafta increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.
