Air defense downs 61 attack UAVs and guided air missile of russians - Air Force

Overnight into Friday, September 20, the russian occupiers attacked the Donetsk Region with three missiles of an unknown type, the Dnipropetrovsk Region with an Kh-59 guided air missile from the airspace of the temporary occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Region, as well as 70 Shahed-type attack UAVs (launching areas: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Yeysk - russia).

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack.

As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 61 attack UAVs and one Kh-59 guided air missile were shot down.

As a result of active countermeasures by the Defense Forces, nine enemy drones were lost in location in several regions of Ukraine (no information about casualties or destruction was received).

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson Regions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the first half of September, the russian occupiers launched 640 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, most of which were shot down by the Air Defense Forces.
