The increase in the production of drones by the russians is aimed at entering into a regular mode of attacks on Ukraine, so that the air alerts in the regions sound almost 24 hours a day.

This was announced by Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

"They want to launch an almost 24-hour mode of attacks in the future so that air alerts in the regions become commonplace," he wrote in Telegram.

This is how he commented on the statements of the russians about increasing the production of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Kovalenko noted that the regular launches of Shahed-type drones over Ukraine are an element of intelligence. They are striking weapons only at short distances.

As for other drones with a long flight radius, their main function is also reconnaissance.

The head of the CCD emphasized that this game can be played together. At the same time, unlike Ukraine, the russians are not able to cover their entire territory with air defense systems.

A day earlier, on September 19, russian dictator vladimir putin announced that by 2023, the russian army had allegedly received 140,000 drones. At the same time, their production will allegedly be increased tenfold this year.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, tonight the air defense forces shot down 61 russian attack drones. The military also managed to shoot down the Kh-59 guided missile.

We will remind, since the beginning of September, the occupiers have launched almost 700 attack drones over Ukraine.
