Gymnast Kovtun wins silver medal for Ukraine at Paris Olympics

Today, August 5, the gymnastics competitions are coming to an end in Paris. Illia Kovtun and Oleh Verniaev represented Ukraine in the parallel bars finals.

The representative of Cherkasy, 20-year-old Illia Kovtun, performed at a very high level and received 15.5 points from the judges. This result earned Illia a silver award.

Oleh Verniaev took 8th place in the finals.

Chinese Zou Jingyuan became the winner with a score of 16.2 points.
