Zelenskyy at meeting on Kursk Oblast situation discusses humanitarian aid and military command posts creation

At a meeting on the situation in the Kursk Oblast of russia, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed humanitarian aid and the creation of military command posts.

Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The meeting on the situation in the Kursk Oblast. Key issues were discussed. Security, humanitarian aid, creation of military command posts, if necessary," he said.

Regarding the situation in the Kursk Oblast, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine protects itself and the lives of its people in the border communities and therefore takes active actions on russian territory.

He also emphasized that the Ukrainian defense forces strictly comply with the requirements of international conventions and international humanitarian law.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during a morning report to Zelenskyy, said that there were no russian troops left in the city of Sudzha, Kursk Oblast.

On August 12, Zelenskyy officially confirmed the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation.
