Viacheslav Zinchenko, the suspect in the murder of linguist Iryna Farion, will not admit his guilt and therefore will not take part in the reenactment of the circumstances of the murder.

His lawyer Ihor Sulyma stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.

"And how can we reenact if you were not there? How can it be reenacted? Reenactment is when a person admits his guilt, complicity in this. If he does not admit, then logically it follows that he was not there. And if he did not was at that place, then he did not do it. If he did not do it, then he cannot reenact anything," said the lawyer.

Sulyma added that further detention of the suspect depends on new investigation materials.

"Depends on what materials will be provided to me. If there are any, what kind of extension of pre-trial investigation and detention can be discussed? Of course, in this case, I will ask to replace detention. Although I am 99% sure that he will be kept in custody at least until the case goes to court," Sulyma added.

The lawyer also stated that the defense of the suspect in the murder of Lviv Polytechnic National University professor Iryna Farion Vyacheslav Zinchenko does not want a jury trial and will not insist on it.

Besides, Sulyma added that he does not see the need to interrogate Viacheslav Zinchenko.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the lawyer of the suspect in the murder of professor and linguist Iryna Farion, Ihor Sulyma, explained his words "we'll see" in response to the question of whether he committed the murder.
