Investigation expands circle of those involved in murder of Farion, since Zinchenko did not act alone

The investigation into the murder of Professor Iryna Farion expanded the circle of those involved, as the suspect Vyacheslav Zinchenko did not act alone.

This is evidenced by court materials, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In order to establish the mobile phones used by the suspect Zinchenko and the alleged accomplices in the commission of this criminal offense, the investigation conducted radio reconnaissance on the probable routes of approach and departure of the criminals and determined the coordinates of the base stations of mobile operators.

The specified information may contain information about persons involved in the commission of this criminal offense, in particular their location, connections with mobile phone subscribers, activities at the place of commission of the criminal offense, since during preparation for the commission of this criminal offense, at the place of commission of the criminal offense, near him, and along the probable routes of approach/departure, the criminals could have a mobile terminal with them and use it before and after committing the murder. At the same time, this information, together with other information, may be of great importance for criminal proceedings and may contribute to the identification of persons involved in the commission of this criminal offense.

The court granted permission to investigate these phone numbers, which were located in 43 places in Lviv, Chernivtsi Region and Odesa.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, a suspect in the murder of professor and linguist Iryna Farion, was transferred to another detention center for his personal protection.
