Police find FORT gun during search in Farion murder case

The police found a FORT gun with cartridges during a search in the case of the murder of professor and linguist Iryna Farion.

This is stated in court documents, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

On August 14, the investigation conducted a search of the apartment.

The address of the apartment and the owner of the apartment are not indicated in the materials.

During the search, an IPHONE 11 mobile phone with a SIM card, an IPHONE 7 with a SIM card, a Lenovo tablet, a FORT 12-R gun with a magazine for 12 9 PA cartridges, 138 9 PA cartridges, sandpaper, drills, screwdrivers, calipers, 4 springs, 3 wipes, 1 ramrod, 2 books, 1 pair of red gloves, 3 rubber balls, two Sara boxes, mobile phone boxes were found.

The Halytskyi District Court of Lviv seized this property on August 19.

The court also ordered the investigators to return the USD 1,900 and EUR 100 seized during the search, as well as bank cards.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the investigation into the murder of Professor Iryna Farion expanded the circle of those involved, as the suspect Vyacheslav Zinchenko did not act alone. The suspect in the murder of professor and linguist Iryna Farion was transferred to another detention center for his personal protection.
