President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, regarding the permission of Ukraine's western partners to use long-range weapons, noted that if the restrictions on weapons that do not include missiles are lifted, this is not the removal of restrictions.

Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with media representatives, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"If a weapon can be used, then it can be used as we need to shoot down military targets. If the restriction is lifted on some weapon that does not have missiles, it is not lifting the restriction. This is another kind of not giving a positive decision on the use of the corresponding weapon. That's how we accept it. And I was very direct about this yesterday," Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy believes that Ukraine's position on long-range hits at the negotiations with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Minister David Lammy on September 11 was prepared, convincing and detailed.

He emphasized that the delay in granting permission for the use of long-range weapons leads to the fact that russia is moving military facilities deep into its territory.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine is working on lifting restrictions on the use of long-range weapons.

On September 11, Zelenskyy held a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs David Lammy, at which he particularly emphasized that it is important for Ukraine to obtain permission to use long-range weapons provided by the US and other partners as soon as possible.

Before this meeting, Zelenskyy said that there was still no consensus among the allies on the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range weapons for strikes against russia, but discussions continued.

Zelenskyy believes that lifting the restriction on the use of Western weapons will force russia to seek peace.
