Secret report on strategy for war in Ukraine submitted to Congress

USA, Congress, White House, war in Ukraine, aid for Ukraine

The Administration of US President Joe Biden has submitted to Congress its strategy for helping Ukraine in the war. Without it, Congress would not agree to provide further assistance.

Reuters writes about it.

Sources of the publication claim that they have not had time to consider the strategy yet.

The US Congress has approved nearly USD 175 billion in aid to Ukraine and its allies during russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.

In April 2024, the Republican-led House of Representatives passed a USD 95 billion additional spending bill that also included USD 61 billion in funding for Ukraine.

Instead, Congress demanded that the White House show a strategy for helping Ukraine by the end of June. But as time ran out and there was no strategy, some Republicans began threatening to block funding altogether.

At the same time, some Republicans are dissatisfied with the fact that the Biden Administration is limiting Ukraine's use of American weapons.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the US Department of Defense announced a new aid package to Ukraine worth USD 250 million as part of the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA).

The US will not change its policy regarding strikes by American missiles against military targets on russian territory, because russian aircraft are out of ATACMS range.
