Energy facilities damaged in 5 regions of Ukraine due to russian attacks - Energy Ministry

In five regions of Ukraine, as a result of russian attacks last day, September 20, energy facilities were damaged, in the Dnipropetrovsk Region an employee of a regional power distribution company was injured.

This is reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on its website.

There were blackouts in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson Regions.

In the Dnipropetrovsk Region, during the inspection of the substation, damage to the equipment was discovered as a result of the drone attack. During the repeated attack of the drones, a power engineer on electrical safety on duty received a shrapnel wound. He was hospitalized.

In the Donetsk Region, as a result of shelling, overhead lines were damaged, power was cut off at a substation. Power has been restored.

Substations and household consumers were cut off in the Kharkiv Region. Power has been restored.

In the Poltava Region, during the air alert, the high-voltage overhead line was shut down, and the substation was de-energized. Power is restored.

In addition, due to technological disturbances in the western region, the overhead line was shut down, while the power facility reduced the voltage. Power is restored.

In the central region, for technological reasons, power was cut off at substations and household consumers. Power is restored.

In the south-eastern region, the substation and the railway were de-energized, there were no disruptions to the movement of trains.

In the southern region, the equipment at one of the facilities was turned off, household consumers were cut off. Power has been restored.

Over the past day, power companies have restored power to 14,857 consumers. In general, as of the morning of September 21, due to hostilities and technical violations, 528 settlements remain partially or completely without power.

The water level in the cooling pond at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is 14.37 m. This is enough to meet the plant's needs.
